Accounting

Accounting services include assisting our clients in setting up and maintaining their books and preparing financial statements. The financial statements provide our clients the basis for making well-informed management and financial decisions.

Smaller, privately held companies often request compilation and review services. While not an audit, a compilation or a review may be sufficient to meet the client's needs. In a compilation, we present in the form of financial statements information that is the representation of management, without expressing an opinion on the statements. In a review, we perform inquiries and analytical procedures that provide us with a reasonable basis for expressing limited assurance on financial statements.

Auditing

Our firm provides financial audit services to various businesses. Auditing involves testing and evaluating evidence to enable us to express an opinion as to the fairness of a client's financial statements.

We conduct each audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, guidelines that provide assurance to the public that the audit has been conducted in a professional manner. Audits are important decision-making tools for clients to identify existing and potential problems.

Throughout an audit, members of our audit staff will seek ways to improve the client's internal controls, operating efficiency and profitability. Recommendations are discussed with the client upon completion of the audit.

Tax

As tax professionals, we provide tax preparation and planning services to domestic and international clients in the areas of corporation and individual taxation. We advise clients on the tax consequences of financial decisions and business transactions and assist them in identifying and creating tax savings opportunities.

We monitor the changes in tax laws and assist our clients in the compliance of them. In the event of a tax audit, we represent our clients before government agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board.

We proactively assist our clients with proper tax planning, which allows taxes to be minimized by using the available options as provided by the tax  laws. We believe our clients should be made aware of the options available to them in order to determine which methods are the most appropriate for their circumstances.
